I HATE THE KITCHEN!!!

if i got paid for every minute spent in the kitchen, id be smiling for that's for sure! haha

i go from cooking 4-6 steaks one night, to 6-8 chicken breasts the next, and usually 6-12 sweet potatoes on either or both nights! after all the prep, clean up, then digestion of the food, it seems as though the hours blend together and the day seems to center itself around the kitchen. do i get to use creativity or experiment with different flavors? NO! but its all for the greater good of looking incredible for about a week. so i guess its worth the dishes. you'd think id use my dish washer too right? nope, all hand washing because its the same 5 dishes, for the same 4 foods im able to eat day in day out.

i know the previous paragraph seems as though im upset about this, but honestly it becomes addicting. because, as i look down to see my veins in my forearms as im washing the same repetitive dish, im reminded of why im living this 'Groundhog's Day' lifestyle! i gotta say that i love it. grocery shopping is a breeze and im into robot mode with my schedule, so its all good!

since my last post, ive transitioned into my next phase of diet restriction, known to some as HELL! ive eliminated my whole eggs from my meals now, so its up to a cool dozen egg whites instead! YUM! you haven't lived until you eat 2 dozen egg whites a day! also, ive switched from fillet (tenderloin) steak to flank or eye of round steak. its a leaner source of dense protein from steak, furthermore lowering my saturated fat counts with keeping just as much protein. so far, all i notice is increased musculature throughout my jaw line due to all the chewing of that "lean" steak! they should just call it chunky jerky instead.

ive also taken all brown rice out and substituted it with sweet potato. i was dreading this change, but truthfully, its been a really good switch! not only does it taste better, but its keeping my muscles and veins fuller, but im getting tighter so that's a bonus. im also increasing my green veggie intake, THAT i am NOT excited about! lol

so far im pleased with my results to this point. although im loosing crazy inches in my arss! haha

with a little more than 8 weeks to go, im fairly confident i will reach the look im striving for. and if need be, i have no problem dieting and training harder to get there!

this week i will be starting my fat burners, increasing water intake, and incorporating a bit more cardio. next week i may start small dosages of natural diuretics. that's when the cool stuff starts to show itself!

thanks again to everyone that has helped support me to this point, i know that chicken and sweet potato smell in the gym isn't the most pleasant. im hoping to make my friends and family proud!

12 weeks out and counting!

as of this past saturday, i am now 12 weeks out from the show!

things have gone well in these first two weeks of dieting. ive figured out my timing of meals throughout my day and the food seems to be working its magic so far. in two weeks, ive last about 9lbs! most of which due to nutrition as ive only done about 5 25 min cardio sessions. that will be increasing to at least 4 cardio sessions this week, NOT excited about that aspect!!! lol! the diet so far has done a good job of removing the "bloat" that my offseason diet gave me. my face is thinner and my waist has lost about 1.5 inches so far. my 32's are even baggier now around the waist! my legs, chest, and back feel thicker and fuller so i think im keeping good muscle so far. the increased protein from steak is keeping my muscles full and the vascularity is coming through! exciting stuff!

ive had a few inquiries about my diet and what it looks like on a daily basis. i dont feel like im doing anything of crazy genius so im not worried about sharing this info. so heres what a sample day of mine looks like....

meal 1
7 egg whites, 2 whole eggs
1 cup cooked old fashioned oats
3pks splenda, small handful raisins

meal 2
6oz grilled chicken breast w mrs dash seasoning
8oz brown rice

6oz brown rice

meal 4

1/2 scoop Karbolyn carbodhydrate powder
2 scoops whey protein isolate
*post workout w/in 15min
1 scoop karbolyn
2 scoops whey protein isolate

ive left off most of my supplements. they change so often and there are so many that i chose not to get into it. but they are expensive and i feel like i drink as many pills as i do ounces of water! lol

while we're at it, why not, ill throw you my training split too! here goes...

mon- a.m. cardio, p.m. chest, calves
tues- a.m. cardio, p.m. back, abs
wed- opt. cardio
thurs- a.m. cardio, p.m. shoulders, calves
fri- a.m. cardio, p.m. biceps & triceps

seems pretty basic but around 6-10 clients per day, cooking & prepping meals, and oh ya... LIFE! it can be a bit taxing. but im noticing great changes so far and am looking forward to many more! but the changes should be more subtle from this point going forward.

i confirmed the couples routine with the promoter of the show today! so i will be competing in mens short open class bodybuilding. christina (my better half in many ways) will be competing in womens medium figure and womens open medium bodybuilding. we will both do individual routines, then do a seperate routine as a couple!! oh... and she has a figure walk & quarter turns to do as well! thats a whole lot for her as a first time bodybuilding competitor! good luck and im with ya babe!

again, im working on getting some pictures ASAP!! sorry for the delay there!

thanks again to everyone for your support! and to my clients for understanding my nutritional needs and their sacrifice during their sessions w me! its much appreciated!

eat well, train hard everybody!
